Mheetu didn't die. When Zira almost killed kopa, kopa ran to the wildlands and raised by an adult lion belive it or not the lion that raised kopa is MHEETU!

Some fanfics had Mheetu and Kopa surive.There are some thories that Mheetu found Kopa and he was king of the wildlands.
